  • I listen to … Ideas on CBC to keep me current with what is happening with people and the world.
  • Someone who makes me laugh is … my son Graham. You never realize how much one person can make you laugh until they are no longer with you. I am sure the students at college appreciate his humour as much as I do.
  • At home I cook … I do not cook as often as I like but as the fall months end and winter approaches, soups are a comfort food that are usually on the ready.
  • My first job was … a summer babysitting two little holy terrors of boys. I earned every penny -- they were monsters -- but I learned a great deal about patience and how to entertain on a shoe string.
  • A person I admire is … my mother. Through all her adversities and hardships, she remains positive and loving. A day does not go by that she does not express how thankful life can be.
  • My secret skill is … drawing and designing personal greeting cards.
  • I aspire to … complete my Masters and work with the underprivileged.
  • The best invention ever is … the luxury of being able to jump on a plane at one end of the country and be on the opposite end in a matter of hours keeps the distance from loved ones to a minimum.
  • My favourite toy as a child was … I don’t remember a specific toy as much as a specific game - baseball. With our large family there was never a need for recruiting. We filled every position and had a blast.
  • The best part of what I do for a living is … working with students who are very motivated, enjoy learning and have not lost their sense of joy and fun.
  • I wish I had … more time!
  • My favourite vacation spot is … the lakes of the Muskoka. Nothing is more refreshing than diving off a dock on a warm summer day into a crystal clear lake. You do not have to go far in any province in this country to enjoy its beauty or solitude.
  • If I could invite three people to dinner, alive or dead, they would be … P.E. Trudeau, P. E. Farnell and Kirsten Ryan. This would be an evening of great conversation and unlimited laughter.
  • If I could have a super power, it would be … the ability to be in two places at one time.
  • My favourite thing about the Kennebecasis Valley is … the beauty and peacefulness of the river, and the welcoming friendships of the people.
