A post-tropical storm left low-lying homes in the Kennebecasis Valley flooded with water late last month. Residents on Monaco Drive, one area severely affected by the rain storm, cleaned out their basements in the days after the storm. Items like children’s toys, electronics and family photos dried out in the sun but were mostly destroyed.
A place to play
This week’s cover story offered me the chance to visit Saint John’s only indoor playground and café. Talk of the business started last winter, when the buzz among valley moms was that a new indoor play space may be opening and could offer children a place to play through the winter months.
