The principal of the Valley Christian Academy and her husband, Douglas, have lived in Gondola Point for 17 years where they raised their four children. She has been involved with the school (which has been open since 1978) for the past eight years. She enjoys travelling and Israel is one of her favourite destinations.

- I am reading … several books at any one time. Presently, the book of Luke, for growth; Unchristian by David Kinnaman, for research; The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, for relaxation.
- Someone who makes me laugh is … my four-year-old grandson Kaden, who can usually talk his way out of any sticky situation.
- At home I cook … rarely, as I am blessed with a husband who could be a chef.
- My first job was … making tire parts for Michelin.
- A person I admire is … my mother, who deals with Parkinson’s Disease each day with an attitude that inspires.
- My secret skill is … unknown even to myself.
- I aspire to … change the attitude of apathy.
- The best invention ever is … the computer, although there are times and situation when I also think this could be the worst.
- My favourite toy as a child was … Lego.
- The best part of what I do for a living is … working with fellow teachers who love their mission and make it a joy to come to work every day.
- My favourite vacation spot is … a small beach in Caribou River.
- I wish I had … a cottage on that little beach.
- If I could invite three people to dinner, alive or dead, they would be … Mark Driscoll, pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle; the apostle Paul; and the chef of the Rivlin Restaurant in Jerusalem.
- My favourite thing about the Kennebecasis Valley is … driving to work along the Kennebecasis River and seeing the Creator’s handiwork.
