When you are in need of uplifting, wise words help

A11

I love quotes. Why? They provide a concise point that sometimes helps put life into perspective. Whenever I get tired or weary in my journey I lean on inspirational quotes to pick me up. I gain wisdom and encouragement from them.

Sometimes all we need is a saying or words of wisdom to reinforce or resolve to press on. Inspirational quotes give you motivation to stay consistent in the pursuit of your dreams and goals. It is a good practice to start collecting a huge reservoir of quality quotes that you can pick from when you find yourself in need of emotional uplifting.

Here is a collection of many of my favourites:

Thomas Edison:

“I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

Vince Lombardi:

“The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.”

“It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.”

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.”

“Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.”

Thomas Jefferson:

“The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do.”

“He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it easier to do it a second time.”

“A mind always employed is always happy.”

Confucius:

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

“When prosperity comes, do not use all of it.”

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step.”

Aristotle:

“We should behave to our friends as we would wish our friends to behave to us.”

“Well begun is half done.”

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Bruce Barton:

“When you're through changing, you're through.”

Marie Beyon Ray:

“Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand - and melting like a snowflake..."

Norman Vincent Peale:

"People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success."

Dr. Robert Anthony:

"Act as if you have already achieved your goal and it is yours."
